About

Hey there! I’m Dmytro, and here’s the story behind FPL ScoutHunter.

For several years, I’ve been working as a software engineer, optimizing infrastructure costs for one of the largest banks in my country. Three years ago, I discovered Fantasy Premier League — and I was hooked instantly. I wasn’t one of elite manager, but I like numbers and statistics. This pushed me to dive deep into FPL.

Building this project fueled my passion for football and strengthened my fascination with statistics and numbers. FPL ScoutHunter is a reflection of my journey. I’ve rewritten the application twice: first from PHP to Angular + NestJS, and later to Angular + Java (Spring Boot). Each iteration helped me grow as an engineer and rethink the architecture from scratch.

Most importantly, this project helps me continuously improve my own FPL skills. It is built primarily around my personal analytical needs — how I evaluate players, assess risk, compare statistics, and make transfer decisions. It’s not just an app; it’s my personal laboratory for experimenting with data-driven strategies in FPL.

And the journey continues! 🚀
